How it works

We will take the time to learn about your child and your family, so that we can give you our best advice for next steps.

Some students start working with us as early as their freshman or sophomore years of high school on their application process. Whether it’s advising on extracurricular and summer opportunities, getting started on test prep, or troubleshooting academics, our tutors are eager to provide consistent mentorship to students throughout their high school journey.

After aligning on goals, preferences, and personality, we get to work on matching your child with an admissions coach who fits their unique needs. Your child’s coach will then reach out with an introduction and you’ll plan a first session.

The first few sessions are an opportunity to discuss application options, gather information about necessary application components, and create a game plan for the application process.

Once the game plan’s made, your child will have essays to draft, tests to prepare for, applications to fill in, and more. Luckily, we have a data-tracking spreadsheet to keep everything in order. Students who stay on top of their process see results.

You can expect your Cambridge Coaching Student Support Manager to reach out to you right after the first session and throughout your relationship to make sure you are getting the most out of this experience. But, we love hearing from clients unprompted, too!
