Emma is a PhD student in French Literature at Harvard. She holds an MA in French (Harvard), as well as a BA in French Studies and BM in Cello Performance (University of Minnesota-Twin Cities).

Jimmy

Jimmy is a PhD candidate in Sociology & Social Policy at Harvard. He holds a JD (Harvard) and BA in English and Social Studies (Harvard). Currently, he is a Lecturer on Law at UCLA Law and a pro bono attorney.

Colleen

Colleen earned a PhD and MA from Harvard University in History, an MA in Modern European History from St Andrews, and a BA in History and Art History from University of Notre Dame. Currently, she is a researcher at Johns Hopkins.

Ezra

After Ezra graduated from Harvard with a BA in Social Studies, he received the Trustman Traveling Fellowship and went to Peru to study the Chinese diaspora. He is now the Artist-in-Residence at the Signet Society at Harvard.

Paul C.

Paul is a PhD candidate in African and African American Studies at Harvard, where he has received multiple awards for his teaching, as well as several research fellowships, including a Fulbright-Hays fellowship.

Catherine

Cassie is a medical student at Columbia University. She graduated from Yale with a double major in History and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, where she won the Henry K. Hayase Prize for her History senior thesis.

Rhea is currently a Rhodes Scholar working on an MPhil in Islamic Art and Archaeology At Oxford. She earned her BA in Archaeology and Middle East Studies at Brown, and was the recipient of the E.J.A. Arnold Archaeological Fellowship.

Sarah graduated from Brown with a BA in History & International Relations. She currently attends the University of Hong Kong and the University of Pennsylvania, where she is a History PhD candidate.

Ellen majored in English at Williams College and received her PhD in English from Duke University. She teaches American Literature in the History & Literature department at Harvard University.

Morgan B.

Morgan holds Masters' degrees in Maritime Archaeology (University of Southampton) and European History (University College London). She is a member of the Oceangate Titanic Expedition scientific team.

Ivy D.

Ivy graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts and BAs in Comparative Literature, Anthropology, and French from Cornell University. She's presently a PhD student in Comparative Literature at Harvard.

Ryohei studied Francophone Literature and Art History at Princeton and Prix du Cercle Franais. After working at the MoMA, he is presently an MA candidate in History at LՃcole des hautes Žtudes en sciences sociales (EHESS).

Adrienne

Adrienne received her English PhD from Harvard University, her MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and her BA from Princeton University. She is a nonfiction writer and poet, and teaches in the Writing Program at Princeton University.

Scott L.

Scott majored in Classics and Spanish at Bates College, where he wrote two theses. After working in several Special Collections libraries, he is now a PhD Candidate in Romance Languages at UPenn.

Charlie earned a BA in Political and Social Thought and English from UVA. Next, he earned his master's degrees in English and in History of Science, Medicine, and Technology at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. He is now a PhD candidate in English Literature at Harvard.

Grey received his BA in English from Reed College, and his MA in French and his PhD in History from Yale. His dissertation, published in French in 2017 and under contract in English with Verso Books, examines the military coup that returned General Charles de Gaulle to power.

Christopher holds a BA in History and a minor in Chinese (Mandarin) from Chapel Hill, an MA in Security Studies from Kansas State University, and an MA and PhD in History from UVA. At UVA, he won the Class of 1985 Fellowship for Creative Teaching.

Alice Wa.

Alice studied English Literature at Wellesley College and graduated cum laude with honors. Currently, Alice is studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in Teaching and Curriculum. She's conducting her practicum at Arlington High School, where she teaches 9th grade English.

Seth S.

Seth earned his BA from the University of Michigan, where his senior thesis on Brazilian welfare politics won the Sahlins Award for best thesis in the Social Sciences. After working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, he began his PhD in Political Science at Harvard University.

All of our tutoring is priced on an hourly basis, and most academic tutoring sessions are 90 minutes. If you're not sure how much tutoring your child will need, you can enroll in our "pay as you go" option.

First Time Package

We require a first-time minimum commitment of three 90 minute sessions due to the significant amount of preparation that tutors do in advance of the first few sessions. This initial package is a good way for your child to get their feet wet, evaluate the amount of tutoring they'll ultimately need, and see if they feel comfortable with their tutor.
