He won the Jean Willard Tatlock Prize in Latin Proficiency and the Douglas Gardner Caverly Prize in Classics for best undergraduate thesis, as well as several awards and honors during his graduate education.

Ilani is a PhD Candidate in Mathematics at MIT. As an undergraduate at MIT previously, they graduated with a 5.0 GPA and an honorable mention for the Schafer Prize.
