Roland is an award-winning author and illustrator. His biography of Arthur Ransome won a Jerwood Award from the Royal Society of Literature and the HW Fischer Prize from the Biographer’s Club. His illustrations for Lev Grossman’s best-selling Magicians trilogy were published in the New Yorker. Roland is currently writing and illustrating a series of novels for children.

He has taught at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, CT., and at Moses Brown School, in Providence, RI.

Melanie holds a BS in Psychology from Yale (Psi Chi) and an MA in French from Columbia. After working in activism, strategic communications, and management consulting, she earned her PhD in Social Psychology at NYU.
Jon Kenneth
Jon earned a BA in English at George Washington and a PhD in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. Since 2009, he has taught literature, history, and writing at Pierrepont School in Westport, Connecticut.
Dilyn
Dilyn earned a BA in English with a minor in Spanish and Studio Art from NYU. After teaching in Mexico City as a Fulbright Scholar, she earned her JD at Harvard Law. She is currently clerking for the Colorado Supreme Court.
