She received the Class of 1971 Summer Science Research Fellowship, Dean’s Research Fellowship in the Sciences (twice), and Mellon Senior Research Grant for her research in the transfusion biology and immunology. She is now an MD candidate at the Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis.
