A native of Queens, NYC, Olivia's first role as a tutor came when she was a high school student at Bronx Science, where she helped fellow students write their history DBQs during her lunch breaks. She went on to earn a degree in English and Mind/Brain/Behavior at Harvard College, graduating cum laude. She also holds a Master of Studies in English (1900-present) from St. Catherine's College, University of Oxford (2017). Her thesis, advised by Professor Sos Eltis, focused on the metaphorical prescience in T.S. Eliot's plays as evidenced in the works of Annie Baker, Sara Kane, and Branden Jacob-Jenkins. After graduating from Oxford, Olivia was awarded a Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa to embark on theatre and entrepreneurship in the UK, and she is now the recipient of a Global Talent Visa. Today, she works as both a professional tutor and theatre director in the UK, where she enjoys supporting students on their educational journeys in one-on-one and classroom settings.
At Bronx Science, Olivia competed in science research competitions and was a semi-finalist in Intel (now Regeneron STS) and has advised students interested in science competitions. At Harvard, Olivia was the recipient of numerous awards for her writing, as well as a grant for $10,000 to attend Oxford. As a student journalist, she was the 2014-2015 Berta Greenwald Ledecky Fellow at Harvard Magazine, a writer for the Harvard Arts Blog and Inside Arts (for which she interviewed artists like Rita Moreno, Kathy Griffin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jeanine Tesori, and John Lithgow), a member of The Advocate's Features board, and Editor-at-Large for The Crimson's magazine Fifteen Minutes. Presently, Olivia teaches and consults for students at prestigious schools in the UK such as Harrow, Charterhouse, Hurtwood House, Kings College Wimbledon, Highgate, and North London Collegiate School. Her students have been accepted to universities like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Brown, USC, Georgetown and early admit medical school programs. She is a passionate advocate for self-expression and loves to work with students to represent their best selves in the university admissions process. She is also an experienced test prep tutor, specializing in the SAT and ACT.
Olivia's theatre productions have been featured in The Stage, on BBC news, and in the Guardian and Evening Standard newspapers. She has presented shows at venues and festivals such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Soho Theatre, and The Barbican. She lives in South London with her corgi, Evie, who likes to say hello during Zoom calls.
