Brian holds a BA in Mathematics from Boston University, and an MS and PhD in Mathematics from Northeastern University. He's now a mathematician with a focus on the algebraic geometry and topology of complex analytic spaces.

He next acquired a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, specializing in parallel and distributed systems.
