Nishanthi is currently a fifth-year doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the City College of New York. She holds a Master's in General Psychology from City College and a BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.

Akila

Akila graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College in 2023 with a degree in human developmental and regenerative biology and an English minor. he will be matriculating at Harvard Medical School.

Darrell

Darrell attended Purdue University, where she earned her BS in Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics and graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa. She is now a PhD candidate in Biophysics at Harvard University.

Victor W.

Victor holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Brown University, where he was awarded the John Hawkes Prize for fiction. He also earned an MA in philosophy from the University of Miami where he was awarded an Outstanding Teaching Award, along with the Martha S. Weeks Graduate Excellence Award, and the Gerrit and Edith Schipper Award in philosophy.

Giuseppe

Giuseppe received both his MA and PhD in Classical Archaeology from the University of Texas at Austin (2016 and 2019) and his BA in Classics from Columbia University (2009). He won the Jean Willard Tatlock Prize in Latin Proficiency and the Douglas Gardner Caverly Prize in Classics for best undergraduate thesis, as well as several awards and honors during his graduate education.

Ilani is a PhD Candidate in Mathematics at MIT. As an undergraduate at MIT previously, they graduated with a 5.0 GPA and an honorable mention for the Schafer Prize.

Samantha graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University in three years with a B.S. in Human Biology, Health & Society and a minor in Education. She then became the first Cornelian since 1995 to earn a US-UK Fulbright Scholarship, which included a full-tuition scholarship and stipend for a Master’s in Medical Education at the University of Nottingham. While in the United Kingdom, Samantha enjoyed engaging with the Fulbright cohort alongside taking education courses tailored to learning how to teach premedical and medical students. Samantha was taught by medical school directors and deans of admission, discussing how medical students are selected, MMI creation, and further admissions logistics. Samantha is now a first year medical student at NYU, on a highly selective scholarship for an accelerated three-year MD degree, full-tuition merit scholarship, and guaranteed general surgery residency at NYU after graduation. Samantha received multiple majority and full-tuition merit scholarships from top medical schools, including the Mayo Clinic, Yale, and Washington University at St. Louis. She is passionate about guiding other pre-health students through their pre-health studies and the admissions process. Samantha hopes to become a physician educator after her general surgery residency.

Samantha has significant teaching experience spanning K12 learners, university students, medical students, Emergency Medical Technician students, and adult ESL learners. At Cornell, Samantha devoted herself to improving undergraduate STEM education and learning about the theory and praxis of adolescent and adult education. She spent two years working as an Experienced Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry; she developed new academic support programs, mediated student-teaching assistant relationships, led a pre-freshman summer chemistry preparatory program, and taught educational theory to new chemistry teaching assistants. She also conducted research on the efficacy of these programs with the chemistry department for continual program improvement and to encourage similar student-supportive practices at other universities. Additionally, through the education classes Samantha took at Cornell — such as The Art of Teaching and Adult Learning — she completed seven supervised teaching internships in ESL and STEM with adult and K12 learners respectively. While working as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician for three years, Samantha also built her skills as an educator teaching three Emergency Medical Technician classes to an undergraduate population; Samantha completed multiple medical teaching internships and gained certification teaching these Emergency Medical Technician courses independently. Outside of the formal classroom, Samantha invested herself as a pre-health mentor through Cornell’s main pre-health organization and the pre-medical fraternity; she has experience helping pre-health students create strong applications for undergraduate, medical school, and scholarship admissions. In the United Kingdom, Samantha taught medical school students medical assessment skills through OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) stations and professional development sessions.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys baking. She also likes to spend time crocheting gifts for her friends and spending time with her cat and two geckos.
