Emily is a PhD candidate at Harvard University in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology. Currently, she is being funded by the National Science Foundation to research conditions in which the gut microbiome may behave in a way that is adaptive to the host. Isa designed an independent major at Williams College titled “Critical Health Studies,” combining philosophy, sociology, and anthropology with the goal of complementing her science-oriented pre-medical education with a humanist and critical exploration of health and medicine. Gha Young majored in Chemistry and Physics at Harvard College. During her time there, she conducted research on mRNA nanoparticles. She is now an MD-PhD candidate at Harvard Medical School, where she strives to combine nanomedicine with computational modeling.
