Casey L.
Casey received her PhD in Neuroscience from the Icahn Scholl of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and her BS in Biology from William & Mary. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University.

Troy
Troy graduated from Yale with a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. After serving in Teach for America, he attended Harvard Law. Currently, Troy works for an education technology startup focused on preparing students for college.

Gus
Gus is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University and is currently completing a doctoral internship at UCLA, conducting psychological research using experimental and survey methods. At Columbia, he served as the doctoral student leader of the Internet, Disclosure & Psychotherapy Lab.

Sheela
Sheela earned her BFA in Vocal Performance and BS in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. She earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Royal College of Music and an MSc in Cognitive & Decision Sciences from University College London. She also holds a JD from Yale Law School.

Helen G.
Helen graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a dual degree in International/Global Studies and French/Francophone Studies, as well as a minor in East Asian Studies. After working in Shanghai, China for 5 years, she returned to Massachusetts to pursue her Masters of Education in Human Development and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Nadja
Nadja graduated from The Dalton School early, moving on to earn her BA in Psychology at Yale University, cum laude. Nadja was recently selected as a Fulbright Scholar and will serve in Kenya as an English teacher for high school and university students.

Erin M.
Erin received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elon University and completed her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Virginia in 2020. While at UVA, she also received specialized pedagogy training.

Darja
Darja earned her MD/PhD from Harvard/MIT, graduating cum laude. She was a resident in general psychiatry at Yale and is presently a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at LIJ/NUMC in New York.

Yurigrace
Yuri-Grace is presently a Clinical Science PhD Candidate & NSF GRFP fellow at Harvard University. Originally from Peachtree City, GA, she graduated from Harvard College in 2021 with a BA in Psychology (highest honors) and a secondary in Classics.

Jack S.
Jack graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Government. He completed coursework for an MPhil in Political and Economic Sociology at the University of Cambridge, which he attended as the Lionel de Jersey Harvard Scholar. Jack is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School.

Ilana
Ilana graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Currently, she is a fifth-year PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she is actively involved in research and clinical work.

Jordan Z.
Jordan is a second-year PhD student in Harvard's Clinical Psychology program. She previously earned her BS from Vanderbilt, where she majored in Cognitive Science and Educational Studies, with a minor in Spanish.

Nathan L.
Nathan graduated from Iona University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in Neuroscience and Drug & Alcohol Abuse Studies. He is currently a PhD student in clinical psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Emma La.
Emma is a PhD Candidate in Psychology at Harvard University. She holds an MA in Psychology form Harvard and a BSc in Biology from the University of St Andrews.

Olivia T.
Olivia discovered her passion for education during college while working with preschool students through the early literacy program. She subsequently earned her BA with Honors in Psychology from Pitzer College and her MS in Learning Design and Technology from Stanford University.

Maddy
Maddy graduated from NYU in 2023, where she majored in Psychology and double minored in Law & Society and Politics. She is currently a JD Candidate at Harvard Law School.

4.5 HoursWe require a first-time minimum commitment of three 90 minute sessions due to the significant amount of preparation that tutors do in advance of the first few sessions. Tutor Tiers
We have four tiers of tutor, with different hourly rates, which correlate to the tutor’s experience. We evaluate tutors for promotion to higher tiers based on hours worked, student outcomes, qualitative feedback, and volume of client referrals.
