Terry holds a BA in English and French (Amherst), and an MPhil in European Literature & Culture (University of Cambridge). He holds a PhD in French Language and Literature from NYU and currently teaches at Vassar.

Peter K.
Peter is a PhD student in German at Columbia University. Prior to grad school, he earned a BMus in Musical Arts with distinction from Eastman, and, simultaneously, a BA in German Studies from University of Rochester.

Emma Zc.
Emma holds a PhD in French Literature from Harvard University. Previously, she earned her BA and BM, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her doctoral dissertation examined the representation of music as a tool of social critique in the modern French novel.

Jimmy
Jimmy is a PhD candidate in Sociology & Social Policy at Harvard. He holds a JD (Harvard) and BA in English and Social Studies (Harvard). Currently, he is a Lecturer on Law at UCLA Law and a pro bono attorney.

Ezra
After Ezra graduated from Harvard with a BA in Social Studies, he received the Trustman Traveling Fellowship and went to Peru to study the Chinese diaspora. He is now the Artist-in-Residence at the Signet Society at Harvard.

Joyce
Joyce is currently an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School. She also graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Anthropology from Harvard, where her thesis won the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize.

Susan
Susan studied English at Rice and graduated summa cum laude. After serving in Teach for America, she earned her PhD in English at Harvard. She has held faculty positions at Wake Forest and Yale and currently lives in London.

Paul C.
A graduate of Vassar College and Wits University in Johannesburg, Paul completed his PhD in African Studies and Anthropology at Harvard University in 2024. He is a Fulbright-Hayes Program alumni.

Parker is a writer, filmmaker, and PhD Candidate in Anthropology and Critical Media Practice at Harvard University. He has earned several grants and fellowships, including the Fulbright García-Robles Scholarship, Wenner-Gren Foundation Dissertation Research Fellowship, and the Harvard Film Study Center Fellowship.

Andrew So.
Andrew graduated from Columbia University cum laude, where he studied history and English. He then received a Fulbright Fellowship to study for an MA at Tel Aviv University, where he graduated summa cum laude with an MA in history.

Mariam Rahmani is a writer and translator. Rahmani holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UCLA and an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University, as well as degrees from Princeton and Oxford. She currently serves on the faculty of Bennington College and is a postdoctoral Fellow with the American Council for Learned Societies in 2023-24.

Currently, Alice is studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in Teaching and Curriculum. She's conducting her practicum at Arlington High School, where she teaches 9th grade English.

Emily F.
Emily is an Assistant Professor of Humanities at Utah Tech University, specializing in philosophy and religious studies. After living abroad for several years post-college, she returned to New York - her home state - to earn her PhD in Philosophy of Religion at Columbia University. During that time, she served as a Teaching Scholars Fellow at Columbia and taught several courses in the Philosophy and Critical Thought department at SUNY Purchase.

Wyatt S.
Wyatt holds an AB from Kenyon College and an MA from NYU, both in English. He's currently a PhD student in Harvard's English department.

Sarah R.
Sarah graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with an Honors English degree from Bates. After taking her Fulbright Scholarship to teach ESL in the Czech Republic, she completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.

Udodiri
Udodiri holds a PhD in History of Science at Harvard University; she previously earned a BA in the same field at Harvard College. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Rutgers University.

Roland
Roland is an award-winning author and illustrator. His biography of Arthur Ransome won a Jerwood Award from the Royal Society of Literature and the HW Fischer Prize from the Biographer’s Club. His illustrations for Lev Grossman’s best-selling Magicians trilogy were published in the New Yorker. Roland is currently writing and illustrating a series of novels for children.

Nathan B.
Nathan is a lecturer in The Writing Seminars, the creative writing program at Johns Hopkins University. He earned his MFA at Hopkins, and also attended Emory University in Atlanta, majoring in English literature and creative writing and graduating summa cum laude.

Helen G.
Helen graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a dual degree in International/Global Studies and French/Francophone Studies, as well as a minor in East Asian Studies. Brandon currently teaches at Georgetown University. He holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Princeton, a JD from Georgetown University, and an MA and BA in Latin American Studies from UT at Austin.

Austin T.
Austin is a writer and soon-to-be law student. Her debut novel, NOTES ON INFINITY, will be published by Celadon and Penguin Michael Joseph summer 2025. Michae O.
Michael holds a BA in Mathematics and American Studies at Wesleyan University, and a PhD in American Studies at Harvard University. His studies focus on 19th century US history and the history of the life sciences.

James W.
James is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow, where he is writing a dissertation on a Venetian painter from the late 16th century named Palma il Giovane. He holds an MA in Art History (NYU), an MA in Art Business (University of Manchester), and a BA in Art History (Vassar).

Linda L.
Linda has 36 years of classroom experience. She taught English at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School; started a small school, the Social Justice Academy, in Boston; taught Composition and Research to college students in Missouri (Stephens) and Massachusetts (Bentley); and helped lead the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science to its number 5 state-wide ranking.

Isaac Jf.
Isaac is a doctoral student at Yale University in the Departments of African-American Studies and American Studies. His research interests include black studies, phenomenology, psychoanalysis, queer theory, and sound studies. Previously, Isaac earned his BA from Columbia University in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, graduating cum laude.

Olivia M.
Olivia is a 2016 graduate of Harvard University (cum laude) in English and Mind/Brain/Behavior. She also holds a Master of Studies in English (1900-present) from St. Catherine's College, University of Oxford (2017). Olivia works as both a professional tutor and theatre director in the UK.

Sam H.
Sam graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Literature. She has professional experience working as a paralegal and a classroom English teacher. She is now pursuing her JD at the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian holds a PhD in English Literature at Rutgers University, where his research was supported by the Andrew W. After graduating from UCLA with triple honors for her BA (summa cum laude, college honors, and departmental honors), she took a gap year, during which she trained in the rigorous Columbia Publishing Course in New York City. She is a fiction writer and PhD candidate in English at Harvard University.

Sarah H.
Sarah pursued her interest in the western European canon by studying the Great Books program at St. John’s College in Maryland. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Comparative Literature at Columbia, where she focused on the nineteenth-century European novel.

Colin M.
Colin attended New York University, where he earned a BA in French (magna cum laude) and an MA in French Studies (cum laude). He then went on to study at Brooklyn College, where he received an MSEd (Special Education - summa cum laude). He is a former middle school special education teacher and department head in the New York City school system.

Sarah graduated from Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design with a dual degree in Comparative Literature and Painting. After earning her MFA in Painting at Yale, she went on to teach first grade at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn.

Jesi received her BA in Humanities from Yale University, and her MA and PhD in English from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as the Director of Undergraduate Research at the University of Washington Bothell.

Eugenia
Eugenia is a PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is completing a dissertation. She earned an MA in Humanities at the University of Chicago and a BA in Philosophy at Yale University.

Clara B.
Clara holds a BA in English from Harvard and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Columbia. She is now an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School.

Cynthia L.
Cynthia holds a BA in Public Policy from Brown. After graduation, she lived abroad in Madrid, Spain for two years pursuing a US Department of State Fulbright Scholarship and a Master’s degree in Marketing. She has worked in the NBA’s marketing department and now works at a sports agency in brand partnerships.

Serena S.
With a Bachelor's degree from Hamilton College and a Master’s Degree in Chinese Language Pedagogy from Middlebury College, Serena specializes in teaching Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

Judy pursued her bachelor’s degree in History of Science at Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She subsequently earned her master of science degree in History of Science, Medicine and Technology from the University of Oxford.

Cecilia Y.
Cecilia graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2021 with a starred first-class degree in Classics, scoring the year’s highest mark on the Latin and Greek textual criticism exam and graduating third in her class. After obtaining her MPhil in Latin literature the following year, she won a scholarship to study at Harvard for as a Herchel-Smith fellow, an opportunity she used to study American history and English literature.

Skylarbree
Skylar holds a BA in English and History & Literature from Harvard College. She graduated with a 3.9 GPA and wrote a creative thesis – a half-hour pilot for a magical realism animated series entitled Blackgirljuju – that won the Lee Patrick Award for Drama, awarded annually to the student who shows the most promise in the dramatic arts.

Lola
Lola holds a BA in History and Visual Art from Brown University. She is currently working in Kyoto as a Fulbright Fellow, where she is continuing her research on contemporary Japanese history.

Nickm
Nick earned his Bachelor’s with high honors in English, cum laude, from Rutgers University. He then earned a Master’s in English Language Arts Education at Rutgers. He has since accrued a decade of classroom teaching experience in public and private high schools in the US and China.

Danielle Dr.
Danielle received her PhD in Theater and Performance from Columbia University in 2021. Her multidisciplinary research focuses on the intersection of theater, labor, feminist theory, and politics. She also holds an MPhil in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University and an AB in English from Harvard University. After working as a postdoctoral associate with Kilachand Honors College at Boston University, she is now a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University in the Theatre, Dance, and Media Department.

Sophia H.
Sophia graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a degree in Leadership Studies. As a Jepson Scholar, she is currently completing an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.

Madison

After earning their MFA in Sculpture/Interdisciplinary Media from Yale, they now teach digital media and design at SUNY Old Westbury and graduate writing for artists at Columbia University.

Sebastian holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Yale University. Sebastian is a teacher and performing artist/producer, having created custom music for Pokemon GO! and taught music production to underprivileged youth in San Francisco.

Elaine
Elaine graduated from the University of Florida with a dual BA in Linguistics and Spanish Language and Culture and a minor in Russian Language and Culture. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she received a Fulbright English Teaching Award and a Critical Language Enhancement Scholarship. She holds an MA in Russian Literary Translation and a PhD in Slavic Languages from Columbia University.

Ally graduated from Oberlin College, where she studied English and Biology. She recently earned her PhD in English with a designated emphasis in Science and Technology Studies from the University of California Davis.

Madison Ha.
Maddie recently graduated cum laude from Yale University, where she majored in English, minored in Human Rights through a program at Yale Law School. Currently, she is a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where she studies journalism and how the industry has historically reported on conflicts between Israel and Palestine

Sam graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Grinnell College with a BA in History with Honors, and he was selected as the Charles Payne Scholar in History during his final year. He went on to get his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana.

Monica holds a BA in History from Harvard College. Currently, she is an Instructional Content Developer at Harvard University (her old stomping grounds!), crafting narrative-driven courses for online platforms including EdX and HarvardX.

Yen P.
