Sophie Bauder
Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff at Cambridge Coaching, Sophie works alongside our Managing Director to lead and support all workstreams in the company. She has a particular passion for marketing and advertising, data analysis and visualization, digital media, and business strategy.

Sophie graduated from Harvard College in 2022, with a BA in History & Literature and language citation in Mandarin Chinese. Before arriving at Cambridge Coaching, Sophie built experience in the education space by working at Harvard’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning and at two Ed-Tech startups, Almost Fun and Curious Cardinals. She also worked as a tutor for over seven years, in subjects ranging from English and history to exam prep. Beyond the world of teaching, she has interned at two museums, Dumbarton Oaks and the American Museum of Natural History, and worked in electoral organizing and public engagement.

Sophie is also an actor and fiction writer. She has appeared on stage with the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club, Hyperion Shakespeare Company, American Repertory Theater, and more. She was a member of the Fiction Board on the Harvard Advocate, the country's oldest continuously published literary magazine, and is in the midst of drafting her latest novel. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes and tending her (very small) garden.
