Terry holds a BA in English and French (Amherst), and an MPhil in European Literature & Culture (University of Cambridge). He holds a PhD in French Language and Literature from NYU and currently teaches at Vassar.

Peter K.

Peter is a PhD student in German at Columbia University. Prior to grad school, he earned a BMus in Musical Arts with distinction from Eastman, and, simultaneously, a BA in German Studies from University of Rochester.

Marilyn

Marilyn earned her BA in Chemistry and Religious Studies from Franklin & Marshall, and her MA in Materials Chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has been a licensed chemistry educator for over 7 years.

After working for a year as a software developer, Tahseen pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematics at NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematics. He recently completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland and now works as a postdoctoral fellow in AI at Yale.

Ryan graduated from Yale College with honors in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, and completed the Multidisciplinary Academic Program in Global Health. He is currently a student at Harvard Medical School, and hopes to pursue a career in infectious diseases.

Noah S.

Noah graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Point. He next studied in the Space Propulsion Laboratory at MIT, receiving a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics. His work to design and test plasma thrusters for nano-satellites forms the basis of a currently pending patent.

Philip R.

Phil graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 2020 as a Distinguished Graduate, with a BS in Physics. He was then selected to attend pilot training, but as a first assignment he is earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from MIT, where he works on improving ion-trapping systems for quantum computing.

Haley V.

Haley went to Bryn Mawr College, double majoring in Mathematics and Chemistry and completing an AB/MA degree in Chemistry. She was recognized as a 2018 Barry Goldwater Scholar for her efforts in and out of the laboratory. Her dual passions for biophysical and chemical pathogens research led her to the Harvard-MIT MD/PhD program, where she is currently a NIH-funded MSTP student in the Health Sciences and Technology track.

Hamzah

Hamzah is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Aerospace Engineering department. His interests span distributed control and planning, game theory, robot safety, and autonomous vehicles.

Jadyn is a Physics PhD student at Stanford University. Previously, he earned his MA in Education and BS in Physics from Villanova University.

Eddy Y.

Eddy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and a minor in Marketing/Psychology. Isa designed an independent major at Williams College titled “Critical Health Studies,” combining philosophy, sociology, and anthropology with the goal of complementing her science-oriented pre-medical education with a humanist and critical exploration of health and medicine. After graduating with Highest Honors, she is now an entering MD-PhD student at the University of Michigan where she will complete her doctoral work in sociocultural anthropology.

Valerie A.

Valerie completed her BS in Mechanical Engineering at MIT. She then completed her MS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. She is now a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power industry.

Joseph is a Cyber Warfare Officer in the United States Army. In 2023, he graduated from Harvard University, earning his MS in Data Science as a member of the Draper Scholars Program. Sasha

Sasha earned her BS in Physics and Mathematics from MIT and her PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from MIT. Her PhD research focused on engineering new energy-efficient magnetic nanomaterials. While at MIT, she completed two research internships in France, worked as a visiting scientist in a German physics institute, and pioneered a new physics education program in Chile.

Iggy

Iggy majored in Mathematical Sciences at West Point. He now studies machine learning and applied mathematical techniques at MIT, working at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory to develop algorithms that predict the impact of cyber-attacks on national defense systems.

Robert holds a BSc in Physics from Jacobs University and a PhD in Physics from Harvard University. For his work as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard, Robert won the Harvard University Physics Department’s White Prize for excellence in teaching introductory physics

Then, Nic completed a research year at Princeton Neuroscience Institute prior to starting at Harvard Medical School, where they are currently an MD candidate. Katherine graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a major in Computer Science modified with Film and Media Studies and a minor in Theater - a mouthful! Upon graduation, she accepted a role as Engineering Analyst at Accenture.

Emily is a PhD candidate at Harvard University in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology. Currently, she is being funded by the National Science Foundation to research conditions in which the gut microbiome may behave in a way that is adaptive to the host. Prior to graduate school, Emily graduated from Harvard College cum laude with a degree in Human Evolutionary Biology and minor in Chemistry.

Ravi graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Management. He then was accepted to Harvard Business School’s 2+2 program. He spent three years as a healthcare investor and obtained the CFA designation before matriculating at HBS. He’s since worked for Khan Academy, Flexport, and Chime – the most recent of which he was Lead Data Scientist & Data Engineer. Ravi currently works for Anduril, a defense company.

Katie C.

Katie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology and minors in Spanish and Education. Katie is now attending the Harvard Graduate School of Education to learn about the intricate and dynamic nature of being an educator in today’s complex society, with the intention to teach high school science post-graduation.

Tarika graduated with dual degrees in Philosophy and Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. She then spent a year as a research fellow at the Mayo Clinic Biomedical Ethics Research Program in Rochester, Minnesota before moving to Boston to pursue her MD at Harvard Medical School.

Emilija has a BA in Sociology from Queen’s University, and three Montessori MACTE teaching certifications from the Toronto Montessori Institute for children ages 2.5 through 12.
