Graham holds an MD (Vanderbilt University Medical School) and MBA (Harvard Business School). He earned his BS from MIT in Materials Science & Engineering. Currently, he is an Emergency Medicine Resident at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Bassel
Bassel received an MS in Civil Engineering from MIT and a BS in Engineering from Harvard. He has taught college courses on topics ranging from probability and statistics to modern history.

Elliot earned his BS in Biology at MIT, and his MSc by Research in Clinical Medicine on a Rhodes Scholarshop at Oxford University. Currently, he is an MD/PhD student in the the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program.

Hunter B.
Hunter studied Physics and Computer Science at Harvard College. In 2019, the Chicago Cubs drafted Hunter, and he’s been playing pro baseball ever since.

Davis E.
Davis holds a PhD in Mathematics from MIT. His research focused on the interface between fluid dynamics and quantum mechanics. He previously graduated from Penn State University, earning a Master’s Degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics, and graduating at the top of his class for his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science.

Noah S.
Noah graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Point. He next studied in the Space Propulsion Laboratory at MIT, receiving a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics. His work to design and test plasma thrusters for nano-satellites forms the basis of a currently pending patent.

Philip R.
Phil graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 2020 as a Distinguished Graduate, with a BS in Physics. He was then selected to attend pilot training, but as a first assignment he is earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from MIT, where he works on improving ion-trapping systems for quantum computing.

Jadyn is a Physics PhD student at Stanford University. Previously, he earned his MA in Education and BS in Physics from Villanova University.

Sam C.
Sam holds an undergraduate degree in Physics from Princeton University and an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She currently works at Frederick Oster Fine Violins, where she repairs, appraises, and sells fine and rare instruments.

Sasha
Sasha earned her BS in Physics and Mathematics from MIT and her PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from MIT. Her PhD research focused on engineering new energy-efficient magnetic nanomaterials. While at MIT, she completed two research internships in France, worked as a visiting scientist in a German physics institute, and pioneered a new physics education program in Chile.

Robert holds a BSc in Physics from Jacobs University and a PhD in Physics from Harvard University. For his work as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard, Robert won the Harvard University Physics Department’s White Prize for excellence in teaching introductory physics

Tarika
Tarika graduated with dual degrees in Philosophy and Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. She then spent a year as a research fellow at the Mayo Clinic Biomedical Ethics Research Program in Rochester, Minnesota before moving to Boston to pursue her MD at Harvard Medical School.

Mary Caroline is a Marshall Scholar who holds an MSc in Neuroscience and is pursuing an MSc in Medical Anthropology at the University of Oxford. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Neuroscience.

Kaitlyn played D1 softball at Stanford, where she majored in Computer Science (3.8/4.0 GPA). Presently, she is an MD-PhD student at Harvard working on her PhD in Bioinformatics.

Abdelaziz graduated cum laude from Boston University with a BA in Physics. After commencing his PhD program in Physics at MIT, Abdelaziz shifted his focus to astrophysics in his persistent quest to understand dark matter.

Chima
Chima holds a PhD in Astrophysics from the Harvard-Center for Astrophysics, where he studied the atmospheres of planets hundreds of light years away using a technique called transmission spectroscopy. He is currently working as a postdoc at Harvard.

Chris is a PhD candidate at MIT’s Computational and Systems Biology Program. He previously earned his bachelor’s degree in cyber engineering with a minor in mathematics from Louisiana Tech University with a 3.96 GPA.

Her thesis focused on understanding the higher prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease in women and the impact of sex steroid hormones on Alzheimer’s pathology in the brain.

Carter attended Iowa State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with degrees in chemistry and applied mathematics. Currently, he is pursuing his DMD at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Mando holds a BS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of California, Irvine. They're now working toward a master’s degree in nuclear engineering while continuing their radiobiological research at the Institute of Science Tokyo.

Tutor Tiers
We have four tiers of tutor, with different hourly rates, which correlate to the tutor’s experience. We evaluate tutors for promotion to higher tiers based on hours worked, student outcomes, qualitative feedback, and volume of client referrals.
